EGYPTAIR
EgyptAir group is the international flag carrier of the Arab Republic of Egypt based in the cosmopolitan capital Cairo. It started its operations on May 7, 1932 and was the first airline in the Middle East and Africa. It became the 7th airline in the world to join the IATA organization and gained a trademark identity. During its 80 years of service history, EGYPTAIR has achieved considerable growth.
Currently, EGYPTAIR fleet of 79 aircraft tries to meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers. We operate cross-connecting flights to 79 destinations in 53 countries. Our fleet in summary: B777-300 ER, B777-200, A330-300, A330-200, A340, A320, A321, B737-500 B737-800, EMBREAR 170 and A300-600 cargo aircraft and we plan to reach 83 aircraft by the end of 2014.
To secure Egyptair's position in world markets, the company works in accordance with internationally accepted standards and criteria. This includes obtaining and maintaining certification by international organizations such as Ground Handling Standardization and ISAGO - IATA Safety Audit European Aviation Safety Agency, ISO - International Organization IOSA - IATA Operational Safety Audit, EASA. We plan to continuously maintain this internationally recognized position at a high level by continuously developing our systems and human capital.
On July 11, 2008, EGYPTAIR officially became the 21st member of Star Alliance. As the flag carrier of the country, EGYPTAIR strengthens its air network in Africa and the Middle East.
